So my brother recently broke the receiver on my Microsoft 6000 v3 keyboard & mouse set. I loved the keyboard and the mouse was nice but I really want that’s keyboard back. I opened it up after 3 hours of vigorous pulling. For 2 hours I was attempting to do it the wrong way. There are no visible cracks, scratches, or bent plastics on the viewable part of the keyboard.

I want to add a cable/ replace the wireless transmitter (transceiver?) with a cable. I have identified the transmitter and can’t immedietly find a way to fix it. I know that it may be impossible to fix it, I’d just like to try.

Is it possible that I can unsolder the transmitter and connect a cable, or connect a cable directly to the transmitter.

Can’t send pictures because I don’t know how to on mobile. If you know how, please tell me.
