I was going to switch to his build but I want a ATX motherboard. What do you guys think
Stay with mine or go with his with a ATX board
Thanks :)

Solution
The RAM you've selected will be fine, but there is no definite way of saying whether it will work at 3000 MHz or not. There have been many attempts at improving Ryzen's memory compatibility, but high speed RAM support is still a bit...questionable. Either way, 2666 MHz is attainable on every motherboard, and a 3000 MHz stick should be able to run at at least 2933 MHz as far as I know. All in all, it is indeed compatible.

Actually, you should listen to maxalge. That build right there will indeed be much better for gaming, and I would suggest you consider that as an option. When considering budget options, Intel does always come up with interesting propositions. While the build you have done will work, the build done two posts above this will be a whole lot better at each and every game out there.

Though keep in mind you're trading an SSD for a better GPU with that build, a change I would profess any day.

I can't seem to find comparability for my ram on msi website would it still work.
Mobo : MSI - B350 GAMING PLUS
Ram : Corsair - Vengeance LPX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
Cpu : Ryzen 3 1200
Thanks (;

Only way to tell is to actually use it. DOA means Dead on Arrival, in case you didn't know. So that problem would be specific to the kit you have received, I can't tell from halfway across the world whether that RAM is defective or not.

The build I ended up going with was a
AMD Ryzen 5 2600
Msi Geforce 1050 Ti
Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5 RGB
250 Gb SSD
8 Gb DDR4 2400 Thermal Take Lite Power Series 550 W
Asus ROG Strix B350-F Gaming AM4 ATX Motherboard

I do have one question is the power supply strong enough I went Umart and the guy helped me pick some different parts. After doing some reading it seams like the PSU isn't good enough.
Thanks
