Hey guys,

Last night my computer started crashing straight to a black screen but the computer was still on. Eventually I was no longer able to boot to windows. I discovered that the radiator for my water cooler was totally filled with dust and my CPU temperature was north of 60 degrees C. I cleaned it all up which dropped my CPU temperature back down to normal in the BIOS, but when I try to boot the temperature readout on my eVGA Z68 mobo goes sporadic showing values between 30-100, totally inconsistent with the actual temperature, and my PC continues to crash right away. So, I think my CPU might be dead. I can get a used replacement i3 or i5 (LGA1155) off the local classifieds for $20-30; do you think that would be a good start, or is it possibly my mobo that's the problem?
