Good morning all! I have a question concerning two laptops I currently own. I will have to return one of them this afternoon, but need some advice first. The first one is a Lenovo Thinkpad P71 with the following specs: i7-7700HQ Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.80 GHz), 17.3" FHD (1920x1080) anti-glare LED backlight IPS, 32GB DDR4 2400Mhz SODIMM, 1Tb Ssd Pcie Nvme Tlc, 500GB 7200RPM Serial ATA 2.5" Hard Drive, NVIDIA Quadro P5000M 16GB. The second is an Alienware 17 R5 2018 with the following specs: i7-8750H (6-Core, 9MB Cache, up to 4.1GHz w/ Turbo Boost), 17.3 inch FHD (1920 x 1080) 60Hz IPS Anti-Glare 300-nits NVIDIA G-SYNC Enabled, 16GB, 2x8GB, DDR4, 2666MHz, 512GB PCIe M.2 Class 50 SSD, 512GB PCIe M.2 Class 50 SSD, NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1070 OC with 8GB GDDR5. So here is what I am wanting to know. I plan on using either primarily for gaming. I have a large Steam library and will want to play upcoming titles over the next several years. The ram and hd is upgradable in both. CPU and GPU are not upgradable in either. I will eventually end up getting an external GPU for either one which are comprable in price. Both laptops are comprable in price as well. Which one is the better offer for gaming specifically? Thanks for your all's help. It is greatly appreciated!
