Laptop not running games anymore

I am a casual PC gamer with a Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Gaming Laptop purchased from Amazon. I have tried my best recently to install games that require little processing power, RAM, low graphics, so that my casual gaming desires would be fulfilled. I have installed Minecraft, Fortnite, War Thunder, Warframe, and League of Legends. Previously those games ran fine at medium to high graphics and at 60 fps. The problem occurred when I was interested in playing Battlefield 4. I bought the game and installed the Origin app that EA required me to do. Not long after I did this, my computer began running very slow and would not open any games on the computer itself. Trying to remedy the situation myself, I promptly deleted both apps, and restarted my computer, the issue still persisted. The issue was not limited to games on my PC, when I try to play web-games, they run very slowly, and eventually my web browser crashes as well. Keep in mind that I am new to all of this, so please try and keep you answers as simple as possible. Thanks.

Open up 'Task Manager'(CNTL+ALT+DEL) and monitor your CPU/GPU/Mem/HD usage. See what's consuming what and once you've located the culprit, disable it and reboot the system to see if the issue persists.
Also, make sure the Power Settings are set to 'High Performance' for gaming. In case you accidentally installed a bogus/malicious app, I'd also suggest doing a malware/virus scan.

I tried this and saw no unusual usage in the CPU. My computer is also set to high performance for gaming. The issue is still present, some games will open now, however they run at like 6 fps and eventually crash.
