Gonna be upgrading to a ryzen in the future but it would be great to do some overclocking now to improve performance. Bought a Noctua NH-DH15s Cooler that i will be installing and im wondering how far I could overclock and if there is any tips anyone could give me. PC Rig is - FX-8370, 990FXA UD3-R5 Motherboard, GTX 1060 6GB, 8GB DDR3 Ram and Corsair VS550 PSU.

You will need to turn off all the AMD power saving features in the BIOS, or you will get what appears to be a great overclock, but find performance is actually worse (and with horrible stuttering).
On my first attempt with an FX chip, I supposedly managed 6GHz, yet gameplay was far worse than stock (and they wont safely clock past ~5Ghz with anything less than liquid nitrogen cooling).
