If you want everything to fit nicely in the little SFF HP case, then you have no upgrade path. There is nothing you can do.

If you don't mind running with the side panel off and having a PSU and video card sticking out, then you got a lot of options.

The next question then is your budget. But given it is a i5-2500 (non-K) I think the ceiling for your video should be a GTX1060 or equivalent. And you cab probably get away with a decent 500W PSU. Make sure you are getting a good quality one, with more than 35 amps on the 12volt lines.

If you are already planning on another computer, would be a waste of money trying to get something for your current setup. Nothing worthwhile will run on the system or fit in the case. If you were OK with the system up till now, I would not waste money on getting anything for it unless you are not getting another system for a long time. If you want something for it, something like a GT 730 GDDR5 should be OK to run in the system, although the power supply may cause you issues. Outside of a used cheap card like that, I would not spend anything on the computer.
