Hey guy,
I want to start making a couple of montages for YouTube, so i had downloaded recording software, set it all up and started recording. After a couple hours of game play I stopped to check the footage but its like it was recording at 2 or 3 FPS. I think my computer might not be able to handle it, so listed below are my current PC specs. Please tell me what needs to be upgraded/added to get decent game play footage.

ASRock B150M Pro4 as Motherboard
8Gb RAM
GEFORCE GTX 960
550W PSU
i5-6400 CPU @ 2.7 GHz
64bit OS windows 10

Trying to record Tom Clancy's: Rainbow Six Siege

I can get a GTX 1060 pretty cheap, and I could run both. But want to make sure I'm right in getting that before I start buying things.

Cheers in advance,
Jethro

Solution
You need seperate hdd for recording , cause HDD cannot read/write at same time, thats why if you install game computer responds slowly.

I suggest you to use obs for recording.
Just set resolution and nvec encoding ( a lot of youtube tutorials about it are out there).
