Hello there,

I hope someone here can help me or offer a realistic reason on why this is happening.

I have a i3 8350k “cooled” by a Corsair H100i. The H100 has been messing up for a while now, but temps are on the rise and I face different issues. Here are a few issues I face.

#1 high temps: I have a cooler that should be able to handle a 8350k at stock and keep it under 60c under high load right? During gaming it enters the mid 70’s to low 80’s and idles at around 45c...

#2 lighting: the H100i should have customizable lighting. And sure, it lights up but only when I first start up the system, right before it boots into an OS the light turns off. The light flashes about 5-6 times then is completely dissipated. My thoughts are that the initial voltage surge on startup provides enough juice to make the light work again but after the systems power draw reduces the light goes out. Any ideas?

#3 weird..: I cannot hear the pump but I can feel the water going through the tubes. Moreover I know it’s somewhat functional, the Corsair link can’t direct it. Funny though, when I first installed this cooler into my new build I heard the pump for the first time since I’ve had it, for about five seconds then that was it.

Things I’ve tried :

Reinstalling windows.

Reseating the cooler.

Moving case fans.

I don’t know what to do, so someone please help me.
