GTX 770 keeps crashing games

Hello everyone, ive never posted here but im at my wit's end and i really need advice,

Ive been using a Zotac GTX 770 and it keeps crashing on pretty much any game I play.

I mostly play Overwatch, Fornite and recently Quake Champions. When I got the card about a year ago it would crash here and there maybe once a week or something (which i thought maybe was due to overheating or just random). But recently its been crashing so often I cant even play any games anymore, sometimes every 5 minutes, sometimes once an hour. It usually spikes to 100% and then i get an error message saying "Render device lost, closing application."

Things ive done so far:

Check game integrity on Steam
Update Windows 10
Run a memory check on windows
Flush dns
Opened the case and removed all the dust on both GPU and CPU
Set DNS Server addresses to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
Tried limiting the performance with MSI Afterburner to 75%
Checked for Malware
Restarted everything multiple times (Router, PC)

Im currently re-installing GPU drivers to see if that helps but any sort of help or advice is appreciated!

I dont have any other GPU slots if thats what you mean but ive taken it out and put it back in. Did the same with the power connections.

Ive also just tried doing a clean install of the GPU drivers and ive tried playing quake on 100% fan speed but even when the temp never went over 60°C it still crashed so it must be something else.

Im gonna try underclocking now and see if that does it

Okay so apparently the issue is still there, i just tested it for 2 hours and it crashed 3 times

note: I used DDU to clean install the newest version of the drivers, Im not sure if using old drivers will work because ive been having this problem for a really long time now

Open device manager, select display adapters, and if not already disabled, disable whatever integrated graphics chipset you have there by right clicking on it then select disable. Best to perform a restart at this point.

I have previously had the integrated graphics active here and even though the monitor was hooked up to the GPU, it was getting a bit confused.

Resolved the issue for me in the past and seems like you have tried everything else!

Slightly worrying if it isn't showing the 770 under that display adapters property there as well.

Perhaps scan for hardware changes within device manager? Right click on display adapters then scan for hardware changes. It should list any graphics card you have on there, including integrated ones. If you have used DDU though and currently have no drivers this could be a reason why it's not showing but I could well be incorrect.

i think u misunderstood, its showing the GTX 770, i just thought u wanted me to disable any integrated on-board display adapters? Because the only thing i can see is the 770.

Well that shows device manager is working correctly then and is another part to rule out what can cause some issues! Bit stumped other than what you have already done then, all the best in getting it sorted.

Yes allthough I have a question since im a complete noob when it comes to overclocking or anything like that.

In MSI afterburner i can change Core Clock and Mermory Clock, ive tried reducing the memory clock by 100 MHz and i didnt see any change. Did i do something wrong?

Yep, put the memory clock back, reduce the core clock by 100mhz and hit apply.
