So I had a piece of a coconut that I though would be PERFECT for turning into a mouse. I requested a mouse from a friend (for free) and he gave me a Microsoft mouse 3500. Game plan was to open it and put it into the coconut, desolder the buttons, and resolver them where I wanted them to go.

Problem was, there were torx screws to open it up. As I don’t have any drivers that work with that I though that I should “solder them out (burn the plastic around the area to get the screws out, don’t worry none of the fumes harmed anything or anyone).

There is no damage to the board other than 2 or 3 plastic globs in unimportant areas. The mouse is completely working with power reaching all the areas.

Now when I plug the receiver into any computer in my house it says something around the lines of “windows cannot identify device, the previous device plugged in has malfunctions etc.”

How do I fix this. I don’t know if the mouse was doing this beforehand but I will ask.
