My pc instantly is very slow

So today i decided to clean my pc from dust with a paint brush, after that i had problem with adding the cpu cooler, after some time i figured it out, when i had problems installing the cooler it shut it self down after a few seconds, when i managed to fix it my pc was very slow, what can be the problem? It took about 5-7 mins to load google chrome, or other programs (I dont know much about pc,i know the very basic stuff) could it be that i need to replace the thermo paste?

Have someone that knows about computers help you with the setup, yes you need new thermal paste, you could have the cooler on poorly, you also could have damaged the system when you were working on it since you did not know what you were doing, including damage to the CPU.
