I want to use dual channel but dont want to waste 200 euros on 16gb ddr4. Can I achieve the same dual channel by equiping an 8gb on one slot and a 4gb on the other slot?

Solution
Only if you can find 2 X 6GB modules. I'm not aware of any of those so you'll need 2 X 8 GB. An 8 GB and a 4 GB will not work because dual channel requires the modules to be exactly the same.
With many Intel processors flex mode is possible:

Flex mode
This mode results in both dual and single-channel operation across the whole of DRAM memory. The figure shows a flex mode configuration using two DIMMs. The operation is as follows:

• The 2 GB DIMM in slot 1 and the lower 2 GB of the DIMM in slot 2 operate together in dual-channel mode.

• The remaining (upper) 2 GB of the DIMM in slot 2 operates in single-channel mode.
