what are the intel cpu flaws

What are spectre flaws and the like, and as a normal consumer who just uses the pc to game and some online shopping is this something I need to be concerned about, and if so what do I need to protect myself?

Those are high level security flaws that affect mostly higher level users like business and servers but no telling what and by whom they could be misused by. Many patches are already developed and 99% secured. Patches for BIOS (microcode) as well as Windows 10.
