I need some help with an issue with my laptop's CPU that I haven't been able too solve. When I'm playing games like League of Legends, I get huge lag spikes after a while. Even when being idle, it reached high temps. I'm not sure wheter the CPU temp is causing this lag. The CPU i'm using is the Intel i7-4520U.
A while ago I noticed the fan wasn't working so I replaced it and it's working now. I have replaced the thermal paste yesterday, and even bought a cooling pad.
Still, several programs are displaying huge swings in the CPU temp. It can swing from 75- to 98 degrees in a matter of seconds. The clocking speed swing from 0.9hz to 2.5hz also every seconds. Anyone has an idea what this could be?
