Today i took of my heatsink and cpu off to apply fresh thermal paste and clean the heatsink from dust, and i noticed something like a dust spec on the cpu socket, so i took a closer look and noticed that it actually was a pin that was slightly bent upwards thus reflecting light differently from the others; so i put everything back in expecting my pc to not even post but everything worked fine. Is that bent pin anything i should worry about or do i just go with it? My guess is that since the pin was (somehow) bent upwards, the pressure from the cpu simply bends it downwards and it makes contact like all others.

Be thankful that all is working.
I would go ahead and use the pc as is.
Not all pins may be needed for you.
Your guess of bending back the pin is likely a good one.

Intel specs say the socket is designed for up to 15 insertions, so do not reinstall unnecessarily.
