Hi! I had 2 sticks of 8gb crucial DDR4 2133mhz memory. Today I sold one of the sticks and now I have only 8gb RAM. My question is: If I buy a 4 gb stick with the same company, will it work properly with the other 8gb stick that I have? (12GB Ram)
Also, if the 4gb stick is 2400Mhz and the 8gb one is 2133mhz, can I overclock the 8gb to 2400mhz (to match the other one)? Or I will need to run them both on 2133?
Thanks and sorry for my bad english!

This is what I currently have: https://www.pcgarage.ro/memorii/crucial/8gb-ddr4-2133mhz-cl16/

Solution
it is hard to predict the outcome when you mix and match stick that may have different Speed, CAS latency, timings, voltage, Brand, etc.
Most of the times a computer will run just fine when mixing different brands, sizes and speeds. Motherboards, automatically, underclock the faster RAM stick to match the other, so you wouldn't run into any issues.
I have encounter times when the motherboard just refuses to work with different brands or speeds.
