Hi guys, basically i bought a new gpu but my psu only has one 6 pin connecter when my new gpu needs two 6 pins. i was wondering what kind of adapter should i buy, i was looking at molex to 6 pin or lp4 to 6 pin, is it safe and which one should i buy? and also where does the lp4 go (to the motherboard?) .

thanks

you should get a new psu. the reason the psu only has 1 6-pin is because it can't provide the power for 2. using an adapter to "create" the connection does not mean it has the needed power to supply the connection.

we STRONGLY suggest against using these adapters in pretty much every case. this does not fit into one of the very rare cases where it can be managed. get a new psu that can actually power the system you ask it to.
