I just finally finished putting together what is pretty much a work station PC with an old AMD Athlon CPU. Post was fine, installed the OS, but did have to go back to the UEFI to put the fans on auto - they were on full, instead of auto as they were sounding like jets ready to take off! (My hat's off to ASROCK as it was very easy to navigate in there!)
I installed HW Moniter to see what was going on in there, as was surpised to see CPU temps at 55 degrees F. I know AMD has some janky readings when it comes to temps, because it's impossible to have readings 15 degrees lower than ambient room temps, right? I just put in a smaller profile Coolermaster cooler, that only has 3 heat pipes and a 92mm fan.I can't recall the model, but I think maybe a TX3?
