My motherboards supports 2133mhz ram sticks, am i able to upgrade my ram to 16 gb two sticks ddr4 sticks, but with 2400mhz. Will it work, or my pc will not boot up?
The motherboard will downclock the ram if it doesn't support 2400. I would advise to get the speed that the motherboard supports since that ram may not be compatible.
most ram out there even 3000 speed or fast ram has 2100/2400 as the default ram speed. with ram speed it not the mb it the cpu used now. the cpu now have the ram controller in the cpu. so if your using a g or entry level cpu the ram speed would be 2100/2400. as the default speed.
