Just changed new mobo. Pc won't boot, not even bios screen

Hi. I'm very new to computers. I recently had to swap motherboards because I had a GA -970A UD3P running my FX - 9590 and I was told to change it because it couldn't handle 220w (had constant freezes). So I had to search in the market and all I found was the Sabertooth 990FX r3. So I swapped them but now my pc won't start anymore.

My PSU is ev3a 750bq. My gpu is GTX 750ti. And 32 gb of ram ddr3. And my cooler is Arctic liquid. 1 ssd and 2 sata hdd. I don't know what to do. The ram seemed fine in the tests I ran with the other mobo.

Changing motherboards and trying to use the old drive and OS often fails completely.
Did you try a clean OS install?

I can't initiate it. How should I proceed to clean install it? I even tried pressing the Memok! Button to see if I can access bios. Should I try using a USB drive?

A USB or DVD containing the install for whatever OS you have.
Boot from that. See what happens.

I've tried all of the above and I still can't load to the BIOS interface, tried booting with the flash drive, I tried with delete, f2, f8, f12 keys. It doesn't even give signal to my HDMI monitor and the computer just turns itself off after 5 secs. Any other suggestions?

So you can't get into the BIOS?
That's a hardware issue.

should I put the old mobo back? even though it caused hard freezes could I be able to fix something or reconfig something? I also have another psu but it's only 500 W maybe I could test it, I don't think it's the gpu since it was working fine with the other mobo. And ram memory tests were just fine. Could the cpu be damaged? If I only had my fx-8350 I could just use my old GA mobo again but someone stole it.

No, your old motherboard does not work with that CPU.
There is nothing to reconfigure.

That particular CPU is probably the worst CPU released so far this century.

It seems so. I should just give up on it. It sucks that I got it as a gift. Now I don't know what to do with it. At least it booted up to Windows with the inferior mobo. This is sad

What processors should I try to aim for? So I can use the spare am3+ mobos. Or should I just get an Intel for that GA 970AUD3P? And a fx8350 for the Sabertooth?

An Intel chip obviously won't work on that AMD motherboard.

At this point in time, it is useless to pour any more money down that ancient AMD line. Cut your losses, and build up a whole new system.

sadly I can't start a new build since I'm on a strict budget, but I was thinking that maybe could it be that my 750 Power supply is not enough? and maybe that's why it doesn't boot? should I try one last attempt to make that fx9590 work? lol, I really don't wanna waste those precious mobos, they're brand new. The saddest thing is that a higher PSU might cost me the same as a brand new fx8350.

on the mb serial number what the last 4 digits. that the bios rev of the mb. on your mb did you make a usb flashback stick and try and update the bios?? on the mb there are fault led for cpu and ram and one green one for power good. what led are on and are they on soild or blinking. also check to see if the clear cmos jumper is set right. last trick pull the mb from the case put it on a box see if it posts outside the case.

When I turn the computer on I see only 2 led lights turned on, the SB_PWR and the DRAN_LED both stay on. They don't blink, just stay turned on and after 35 seconds or less the pc turns off. and PWR led stays on unless I turn the PSU off.

I'm going to try the flashback bios and reset the cmos jumper too and I'll update this post, I hope I can get it to run

Hi again, just wanted to update you that I have tried the Usb flashback, but it still doesn't boot up the BIOS screen. And the same leds are on (the PWR one and the DRAM). CPU, VGA and Boot are turned off before my computer shuts off. BTW my Rev version is 3.0 so it is very different to the 2.0 in design

I also realized that my Sabertooth didn't even come with a Jumper cap, I hope it doesn't affect anything. Could it be that because it's a 3.0 rev it doesn't use or need a jumper cap? should I use the Q connector or a screwdriver instead? Or I shall proceed to take out the battery instead. I'll do a ram test again to see if I spot something else and put the mobo without the case

Updating this thread: I've received a fx 8350 and my Sabertooth is now posting again. I also did the clean windows install like suggested above, but after installing everything it turns off right after initiating windows. So it might be a faulty PSU. IDK beacause it was working fine with the older mobo, but maybe my fx 9095 burned ffried up that PSU or something. I really hope replacing this PSU will be the end of this hellish experience. Thx to all the people above.
