Hello all. This is my first ever gaming pc build/pc build in general. I want to make sure I have everything correct before plugging in and powering on. Questions to follow my hardware list.

This is my setup (hardware):
-NZXT S340 Midtower Case
-Intel Core i5-8400 8th Gen
-EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW graphics card
-Gigabyte Z370P D3 MoBo
-EVGA 650 B3 bronze fully modular
-Seagate 2TB Barracuda SATA 6Gb
-ADATA SU800 128GB 2.5” SATA SSD
-Ballistix Sport LT 8GB ddr4 2666 (4gbx2) memory
-DeepCool CPI Cooler (GAMMAXX 400 white)
-2 120mm fans on top of the two that come with the case
-RGB light strips (multi function RF remote)

Questions:
I believe I got everything hard ware wise installed correctly. I got a little less confident when it came to power supply hook ups

1. The psu has SATA 1 and SATA 2 ports. What I did was connect that SATA cable into that slot SATA 1. That Cable Has three SATA connections to it. I hooked up one of the SATA cable connections to my 2tb HD. The second SATA cable connection (from the same cable) to my ssd and then connected the data cable to each of those into the MoBo in two different SATA 4 and SATA 5 slots. Is this correct?

2. I connected the VGA b3 cable (that was provided with psu) to my graphics card. These cables have a 6pin with a 2pin seperate (but the ability to put together). This cable also has a second 6pin/2pin that tethers off of that. I plugged both of these into my gpu as my gpu has two 8pin connectors (plugged all the cables in. The two six and two twos to make it 8pin each). Is this correct?

3. My rgb lights. I am not sure where these plug into. Do they plug into the MoBo?

I can provide links and photos of everything if need be to make this easier. (Edited and added)

My color scheme is black and white. I added all white carbon fiber weave vinyl to the ssd and the NZXT vertical plate in the computer case. It was originally all black. I’m really happy so far with my first build! But we will see if it boots up lol. Haven’t connected it to power or attempted to turn on yet. Installing all the software and drivers is what I’m nervous about.

Only thing left to do is install the rgb lights (and then have to do all the software and drivers as well)

Solution
1. and 2. are correct yes (make sure the 6pin and 2 pins are connected to the graphics card).

As for the RGB lights, yes they connect to your motherboard, the connection should be on the bottom of the board, refer to your manual if needed.

Thank you so much! It is very exciting! I will post pictures as soon as my photo website stops acting up! And yes it does show RGB pin connectors at the bottom of MoBo
