Hey friends
I want to buy a new computer
I thought I would buy an AMD 2600X processor
But I realized that in a month new boards with a new Chipset B450
A month is not a long time and I have no problem waiting,

The question is, should we wait at all?

Or just go buy now a 2600X processor with a Chipset B350 board or another chipst available

Thanks

If you have no problem waiting, you might as well wait. There is very little difference between B350 and B450 chipsets but B350 motherboards will likely go on sale as B450 motherboards are released.

If I buy today the Asus TUF X470-PLUS GAMING

It is good ?

Or should we wait for the B350?

Sorry for my ignorance
I just do not understand

Or the X470 will always be better?

Thanks.

X470 will still be better than B450 and B350. The X470 chipset is the top of the line, and more expensive. It's just question of how much you are willing to spend on a motherboard to run your 2600X processor.

One thing to consider since you're looking at the 2600X, a Zen+ processor, is that either of the 400 series chipsets are better optimized for Zen+, especially the 'X' processors, than 300 series. The 400 series allows boosting to higher frequencies and for longer times.

Also, you can download a free StorageMI utility that speeds up conventional hard-drive access to SSD / M.2 speeds using a single smaller SSD or M.2 drive. And it actually works! You can get the same utility that works with X370 and B350 but you'll have to pay and i'm not sure if it's as capable or fast (haven't seen reviews on this use case) since it may not have hardware support in the chipset.

The X470 is better mainly because it comes on higher-end motherboards that themselves have better feature sets like higher end audio and LAN and voltage regulators for processor over-clocking. But it (like the X370) also has more PCIe lanes and usually offers an SLI-able slot if that's important to you.

Thank you very much for editing,
Now it seems clearer
If the 470 goes into the budget then there is no question at all
Just buy it

I'm not losing anything B450 because it will always count lower
Thank you
