watercooling or air cooler? High end aircooler for so old cpu would be better. Noctua NH-D15 example if you can fit it in your case or Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO for cheaper budget.
When you have new cooler try 3.8ghz or 3.9ghz with 1.35v vcore and 1.212v vtt. I needed 1.36v for 4ghz and 1.4v for 4.15ghz (i7-875k)
