Install Windows 10 to SSD

I want to install windows 10 to my new ssd which has no partitions yet and is not formatted as MBR or GPT. So when I setup windows 10 will it be detected or ask for formatting? Or do i need to first format it as GPT?

You don't need to format it first. That happens during the OS install.

Use GPT.
