Hello, i want to know if i have to format an HDD that has files in, but doesn't have an O.S installed on it, i mean, i have an HDD with windows installed, and another HDD with the games on it, do i need to format the HDD with the games on it before installing an operating system on it?

Bit confusing here.

Why do you need to install an OS on the drive that currently has games on it?

Because the disk that currently has the OS installed is * up, i tried everything i found on these forums, and still has 100% disk usage, so i want to install the OS in the other drive.

1. Language, please.

2. Ideally, you want to move anything off the OS target drive before this install.
There are ways to do what you wish, but it involves partitions and resizing, and it is easy to screw it up.

3. For your current problematic drive, is it a physical drive failure, or does it just need a fresh OS install?

From what i think, is a physical drive failure, because i installed the OS about 1 month ago.
I tried changing the memory pagefile, disabling superfetch, windows search, disable the storeahci.sys driver on the registry, but the disk usage still jumps to 100% when opening a program, folders, or even right-clicking into the taskbar

OK.
Move everything off the desired drive, and do an install on it.
