Hey everyone, so recently I got my hands on an i3 8350k for super cheap, around $100. I noticed it doesn't come with a cooler, so I ordered a Noctua NHl9i. On Noctuas website, it says it is not compatible, but it is compatible with other stronger processors that have similar TDP ratings. I don't plan to overclock, this thing is already power hungry and it comes clocked at 4ghz, so do you think it would be safe to use it or trust Nocutas word? I am stuck!

Here is the site saying so:

So should I just try and see how it works? I don't really plan to OC, I just saw it at Frys for really cheap and saw its a pretty decent CPU. I also really don't play any crazy intensive games either, I just don't want to fry anything is all.

As long as the cpu cooler supports the socket, it should work.
Look for LGA 1151 support and youre good to go.
Dw about it frying anything. Something like that doesn't really happen with air coolers.
