Hi this is my first gaming pc I'm building and I have a budget of around 750 dollars. I have the basics of my computer but I don't know if the cpu will be bottlenecked by the gpu. My part list is https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xyFJnH. (the cost will be lower since I'm buying used.).

Solution
Your build is sound and homogeneous, for gaming i5-8400 is great CPU and would have no issues driving your 1060. (most modern games are GPU bound especially at higher resolution 1080p and above, thus given your CPU great performance, your gaming result will be limited by your GPU capabilities depending on the game and the played resolution).
I would suggest:
- Going for at least 250 GB SSD (120GB is way too small), 500GB is the sweet spot to house system and many modern games.
- Upgrading to 6GB version of the 1060 if within budget.

That is a solid build especially for your budget. You shouldn’t see any bottlenecking with it. However, this does depend on what resolution you will be gaming on. Your PC would max out 1080p gaming, for the most part, and could even handle moderate 1440p gaming.
