Hey Everone. I have some issues with my CPU speed, my laptop uses Intel i7-7500u that can run about 3.4 - 3.5 Ghz, but after I reinstall the Windows, my CPU speed are likely to slow down to 2.8 Ghz when I play game for a few hours and its never overheated before. Are there any setting that I can change? or any other solutions? Thanks

- Intel i7-7500u base clock is 2.70 GHz (so your CPU is operating at it's rated clock) with boost clock UP TO 3.50 GHz (dynamically incrementally increased) which only kicks in when needed if processor sees that it is operating well within limits of maximum thermal design power or TDP ( is the maximum amount of power the processor is supposed to use)
- Your windows 10 post-update might be running your laptop hardware in power saving or balanced mode: try going to power options and choose high performance plan when gaming. Also monitor CPU temps and wattage with Hwmonitor and intel Xtreme tuning utility to see how close your CPU is to it's TDP among other useful CPU parameters.

I've used the High Performance power plan on the battery. Before I re-installed my windows and I play FIFA 18 for 4-6 hours my CPU doesnt slow down and now its likely to slow down after I reinstall the windows.
