RAM usage increasing gradually while idle on Windows 10

Hi guys,
I've recently bought a new laptop: Lenovo Ideapad Y910 with specs:
i7 6820hk
nVidia GTX 1070
16GB DDR4
SSD + HDD
Windows 10 home x64

As soon as I opened it I updated Windows and all the drivers.
Then the RAM consumption went crazy. On idle it starts with 13-14% usage and it gradually goes to 99% when the system gets real slow and I have to reboot with the button.
It doesn't matter whether I have any apps open or none. I tried to just start the laptop and leave it like that and the RAM usage gets to 99% in an hour.
I use Avira /free/ and I have ran all the virus scans possible - with Avira and with other online apps- it seems fine.
I've disabled superfetch, ran all the repairs, defrags, clearing log files and cache files, manual updates.... nothing helps.
Apps such as AdvancedSystemCare Pro which have the option to release RAM don't help at all.

Bonus:
Some of the icons on the desktop appear blank now / repairing the icon cache is on the way/.
Also the Lenovo Nerve Center doesn't work properly/ it doesn't show some features on/.

I'm at work so I can't attach any screenshots now, but the task manager shows that apprx 3GB of RAM are being used by all processes.... so I have a ghost.
Please help because I don't want to reinstall Windows! Thanks!

Did a PC reset with only a few settings and apps kept - then no win update, no driver updates except for graphics and some other stuff. Even the Lenovo Nerve center works now and the icons are fine.
Also no external AntiVirus.
RAM usage is perfect.
