New graphic card has caused audio to go out

I have a Dell Precision T5400 that I've had for a long time, which has been working great over the years. I recently purchased three new Dell Ultrasharp 24" U2412 monitors. When I installed one of the new monitors and plugged my system back in, I come to find out my power supply went out. So, I took my PC in to get a new power supply and at the same time I had a new graphics card put in that would support a three monitor display. The card I purchased is the following ATI Fire Pro card: https://www.amd.com/en-us/products/graphics/workstation/firemv-2d/2460#. The previous card that I was using was a NVidia GeForce GT 610 card that came with the system. The new card was installed with the new power supply and the old NVidia card was left in the system. My PC is back up and running, but I have encountered an audio issue. The volume icon in the system tray shows a red x with the message "no speakers or headphones are plugged in". I've double checked and the speakers are definitely plugged in. I have standalone Logitech speakers and a sub-woofer. I can unplug the audio cable and when I plug it back in I can hear the feedback when I'm plugging into the audio port.

I'm wondering if somehow the new monitors or new ATI card has changed how the audio in my system is setup and is no longer using the PC onboard audio output to my logitech speakers. Is it possible that the new card has grabbed control of the PC audio?

I'm not much of a hardware guy so my apologies if I'm not providing enough detail. Please let me know and I will respond with any additional information needed.

Also, I'm running Windows 10 on a 64-bit system.

Any help would be appreciated.

On Windows 10 click the volume icon on the bottom corner, above the volume slider it should say your selected sound source. I'm guessing it is set to your video card, click the arrow next to the source and select your speakers.

If I click on the volume icon in the task bar is immediately opens a dialog box that detecting problems and lands on the playback options that are listed. If I right click, it says Speaker Setup (UNKNOWN) ==> Off, then the next item on the list is Sounds and finally Troubleshoot sounds problems. I've tried troubleshooting, but that has not resolved my issues. It says the problem is my audio is not plugged in.

The audio is just plugged into the onboard audio jack on the back of the PC. The video is plugged into my mini display port. Is that what you are asking?

DP can do audio too.

Right click your sound and hit playback. see what's on default. it could be your monitor.

I have three devices listed in the playback tab for sound. All of them are greyed out. Here is the list:

AMD HDMI Output - AMD High Definition Audio Device (not plugged in)

NVidia Output - NVidia High Definition Audio (not plugged in)

NVidia Output - NVidia High Definition Audio (not plugged in)

Nothing is set as the default since all three are greyed out. When I go into properties and look at the driver tab, the options to update, uninstall, rollback are also greyed out.

yeah, I am at a loss. I might have to take it back into a tech shop to get the audio repaired. I have tried restarting multiple times. I've gone into the BIOS and for Onboard Devices => Integrated Audio there is just the options for Auto, Yes, and No. It is set to Auto.

There isn't an entry for the motherboard in Device Manager that I can identify.

It seems that the new ATI card or new Monitor has somehow hijacked the audio and set the audio to the HDMI inputs instead of the onboard audio. That is just a guess on my part.

I'm going to take the PC back up to the tech repair shop that put in the new power supply and new graphics card and see if they can get the audio back up and running. I appreciate the help trying to resolve this issue.
