That's a big price range...
First, are you p*ss3d at nVidia for the GPP monopoly gambit they tried earlier this year? If so, then go AMD - if not, nVidia is still slightly better for gaming. Also do you have a 4k monitor (what flavor of Synch?), or are you fine with 1080 gaming? It makes a big difference.


Tom's (here) has the GPU Hierarchy list - top tiers are better/pricier than lower ones.

Buy the best/most available card based upon this list that you are willing to overpay for!

Caviat.... this is BAD time to replace your GPU - prices are still crazy silly (which is only a slight improvement over Insane Silly, like earlier this year.)

Nearly all of these cards listed are 1-2 years old, tech-wise and any 'new' cards forthcoming anytime soon are unlikely to be significant game-changers, so accept the fact that you'll be paying more (maybe LOTS more) than MSRP for old tech.

/Me? I need a GPU too... will probably get an RX Fury or 580 when prices return to MSRP (or slightly below)
