Hello!

I cannot come to a conclusion on which cpu is more worth buying ( i3 8100, ryzen 3 1200, ryzen 3 1300x)
I3 8100 is about 110€ (euros)
Ryzen 3 1200 is about 90€
Ryzen 3 1300x is about 110€
I found mobos that are basically the same price ..
And now I cant choose which cpu to buy
1200 has 3.1mhz
1300 is like a 1200 but OCed at 3.5
and i3 runs at 3.6 mhz
So do you think I should go with the i3?? Even if it doesnt oc?
Btw I am not sure that if I get a 1200 I will oc it since B350 mobos are like 30€ more : P
Or should I go with a 1200 buy a B350 mobo for around 70€ and oc it??

What is your intended use case? Where are you located, specifically? Pricing throughout the Eurozone differs dramatically.

All are 4c/4t CPUs. If this is for gaming, the i3-8100 should net you the best performance..... but the Ryzen3 1200 is a solid "value" offering.

Using Germany as an example, the i3 setup would cost ~240EUR.

Whereas an overclockable R3 + B350 board and faster memory (really required for Ryzen) would set you back a near identical amount.

So, while the i3 would have the slight edge in gaming..... chances are, you can only upgrade in future to CoffeeLake CPUs.

Whereas, the B350 board / AM4 socket will be supported (with a BIOS update) through 2020.

Personally, I'd opt for the Ryzen3 1200 + B350 board.
