Hi to whoever reads this. So I am a computer noob, but I tried to build a computer anyway. I used a Coolermaster 3.1, amd APU with amd 5 and a vega Radeon graphics card included. My motherboard was the latest gigabyte gaming mobo, with a corsair vs550 PSU. So I read the article on forbes, The link is here: https://www.forbes.com/sites/antonyleather/2018/02/20/how-to-build-a-gaming-pc-for-under-500-with-amds-new-apus/#7f7e7f383c1d. The components are also on the article. So anyway, I finished the build, then pluged it into the wall and pressed on, and got no activity. Does anyone know why, oe how to fix it?

Which motherboard, specifically?

The one from the article is a Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 and requires a BIOS update to support the APUs - something the article did not mention at all in it's original form.

The article has been updated to highlight the issue and, while I'd never link Forbes as a tech "solution", they do cover it off well.

EDIT: It's come to my attention that some samples of the Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3 may not have a BIOS that's new enough to support AMD's new APUs including the Ryzen 5 2400G. If this is the case, you'll likely be met with a blank screen when powering on your PC. What you need to do is either make sure your sample has a compatible BIOS by contacting the retailer, borrowing an original Ryzen CPU from a friend, or borrow one from AMD, in order to update the motherboard's BIOS.

AMD will send you a compatible chip, a "boot kit"

But you may be quicker talking to a local store.
