That should work, but they would have to share the available bandwidth. Does your motherboard not have more than 1 internal USB header? You could also add an internal USB expansion card.
my motherboard only has 1 usb 2.0 header although in the description, it says "1 x USB 2.0 connector(s) support(s) additional 2 USB 2.0 port(s)". i don't quite get what it actually means. and I'm afraid the header can't carry the 2 internal usb expansion.
can you give me example of internal USB expansion card? so i can look it up and see if it's available for me to buy.
1. The USB 2.0 header on your motherboard supports 2 USB ports. (1 header powers 2 USB ports)
2. This card mounts in a PCI slot and gives you 4 External & 1 Internal USB 2.0 ports. There are many different cards like this one.
