Hi, I bought about 2 months ago an Alienware laptop equipped with a GTX 1070 and a G-Sync screen. Because of that G-Sync screen I can't use nvidia optimus technology so my dedicated 1070 card is handling everything and I can't use or switch to my integrated graphics from Intel. This is really worrying me because I read everywhere that the gpus usually don't last that long before they just start getting serious issues compared to integrated graphics that can last a while.. Now, when I'm gaming I make sure to never go over 50-60% of gpu load because i'm just too scared of scrapping my video card. Should I continue to never overload my gpu or what should I do to take care of it? Will my PC be completely useless if the gpu scraps?

Well....depending on the laptop...graphics cards can be a bitch to change, if not impossible...so I see your point.

Although....the graphics card is there to be used.....so I would use it and hope for the best.

It's not like they fail all the time. Most go years and years.
