Hey, I'm buying an SSD so I can put windows 10 on it but I already have a 2TB HDD with Windows 10. I was wondering, if I install windows 10 on the SSD can I get rid of the Windows 10 on my HDD and keep all the programs and files?

Thank you in advance

Solution
You can wipe Windows off the HDD of course, and you can keep your own files on it, but you won't be able to run any of the programs that were installed on it. They will have to be reinstalled in order for them to be registered in the new Windows installation, together with their support files.

You can't keep all the programs like that.

How much space is consumed on your current drive?
What size/make/model SSD are you considering?
Do you have another drive (internal or external)? Or can borrow one?

OS transfer without program reinstall may be possible with cloning, but it depends on current partitioning, used space of your HDD and size of new SSD.
Generally used space in OS partition of your HDD needs to be smaller than target SSD.
Can you post screenshot from Disk Management?
