Hi,

You should be fine with that SSD its a 7mm version with a spacer if needed, so should fit fine. Use Windows Media creation tool to make a fresh bootable USB or DVD, remove your HDD and replace it with the SSD and do a FRESH install of the OS - Migration tools are not great for optimisation just do it the long way and you will get a better result!

Once your up and running using the SSD you can remove the optical drive and replace it with something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Inspiron-3521-3537-3541/dp/B01HLP4RDM

Installing your old HDD in there and it will get picked up as a secondary HDD

**recommend you backup all of your personal data etc from existing HDD before you do anything! You may need to re-format the old HDD as part of the process, so again make sure you keep backups!**
