build with i5-8400 or wait for 9 gen

Hello so i want to build pc and probably i would build it in 1-2 months and with i5-8400 but i wanted to know maybe its worth to wait i5 9gen cpu? or it takes little bit more time to come out, like half year?

There is no guarantee as to when the next gen of processors will come out and even when they do what kind of performance increase we would be looking at. If you have your heart set on putting together a new build I'd say go for it. Perhaps do some research first as this could be a build you may be using for a while so make sure you're happy with it. The i5 8400 is a great budget build but maybe consider also the Ryzen alternatives unless you're opposed to AMD products.

Hard to say. We already see some intel 10mn cpu's but majority is "Delayed Broken 10nm Into 2019". They might appear anytime from >>November.
If you have something to play/work on and its not crying for help, then wait. All tech maps say if intel will make 9'th gen on 10'nm, we can expect +25% for sure. If not then 9'th gen will be just refresh, and no reason to wait.

Ryzen is great value if you have a little time to tinker. For anything except gaming AMD wins. If you have time, consider it also.
