Hi everyone!
I'm trying to sysupgrade a router TP-LINK N750. When I connect the ethernet cable from router to the laptop, the LED on the router doesn't show any eth connection and my ethernet card stays down. I've tried to assign a static IP address to my NIC, but still there is no connection. I'm sure that the cable I'm using works, so I don't get where the problem is.
Furthermore the system and wireless LEDs are fixed, so I'm assuming there is a problem that I don't get.
Thank you in advance for your response and sorry if my explanation is approximative, but I'm a newbie.

What exactly do you mean about a "sysupgrade"? Are you trying to flash a new firmware to it? You don't need to connect an ethernet cable for that, you do it through the router config page which you can get to WiFi. If you have no link lights on the router or network card that shows either the cable or port on the router is bad, or the network card on the laptop is bad. What did you test already? Did you try another computer on the router? Try another cable, another port, test the laptop with another router to make sure the network card works?
