Hello,
I just recently built a new PC.
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/imma.nguyener/saved/tRN3FT
Everything works fine, I finally got the RAM up and running at 3200.

Two things:
1. Are the temperatures are a little high?
Idle right now is 40 C, Max when benchmarking was 78 C.

2. My benchmarking seems a little low compared to other users using the same benchmarking platforms/software.

I do not have my CPU overclocked because I still have the stock cooler. Is this normal looking if it is not overclocked? Do people usually benchmark overclocked?

Thank you for taking your time to read this!

I think most pay more attention to AMD's Overdrive displayed thermal margins...(i.e., where 20C displayed means 20C to go before any throttling occurs, etc...)

Additionally, the readings shown might have a +10C thermal margin built in, (temps displayed are +10C higher than actual) in order to keep fans ramped up allowing system cooling to attempt to stay ahead of any possible heat build up...

If that's the case, 68C is manageable...

Please don't give wrong information, AMD Overdrive doesn't work with Ryzen platform, it was replaced by Ryzen Master.
Those benchmarks do look a bit low. My 2700x scores 4564 multicore and 463 single core in CPU-Z, 17950 in PT and that's without any OC.
Ryzen 2700x and whole series of second gen have two features different from first gen. It's XFR 2 and Performance Boost2 that should intelligently boost performance on 1, 2 or more cores as SW demands it while holding down on power (voltage) use and heat. Those have to be enabled in BIOS.
For temperature and other parameters reading, best SW ii HW Info that displays temps, original and 10c corrected. AMD's recommendation for voltage and temps is maximum 1.425v and 75c but that's a bit on conservative side.

I added another image to the bottom of the album. My new multicore is 4464, and single 420. I did my best to stop all my app and downloads to run the test. Does that look like a normal functioning Ryzen? Or should I be worried and return and exchange?

What does Ryzen Master show when running benchmarks ? If it doesn't show anywhere close to 4.2GHz at full load, Power Boost may not be working or set in BIOS.
Speaking of BIOS, which version do you have ? 0601 is last and should support PB but it has to be enabled in BIOS.

When I run Ryzen Master, I click Apply & Test. I think that is the benchmarking you are talking about because I can't find a specific "Benchmark" tab.
My Ryzen Master is at the bottom of the album. https://imgur.com/a/GWEjQIG

It stays at 3.7 at full load. I have 0601 for my BIOS.
I can't seem to find the Power Boost option that you described.
