Hi,
I have Dell R210ii server, which needs more RAM. I found OWC1333D3ECC8GB in local area, but I am not sure if it's compatible. Server needs DDR3 ECC 8GB Dual rank UNBUFFERED.
I can't find any info on whether or not this RAM is unbuffered. Did anyone successfully use it in server?
It's advertised as Mac ram, but I don't think there is any difference.

Well, it is ECC memory, from what I know ECC memory is usually registered dimm memory. Also, you may want to look into memory from Samsung or another trusted brand that makes ECC memory because they will have the information you need on the memory instead of buying memory designed for a Mac, because this memory has special technology that can only be used on Macs, granted it will work on a PC but there are features you won't be able to use.

Just got an email from OWC and they stated that it's unregistered (unbuffered) RAM.
I have read a lot of reviews, many stated that it works great, but everyone have Mac.

I would buy from another brand, but haven't found cheap one yet. The prices are like 2x higher. Guy in my area sells this one really cheap (apparently still unboxed), but it won't help if it doesn't work.
