How to partion a drive to install A new windows 8 without deleting any fikes

I did not backup my computer so I have to install a new windows but I don't want to loose anything .how do I do it

Solution

If it boots, back up the files now, if not, install windows on another drive then copy the files from the original drive to the new drive.
