Upgrading CPU and MOBO, can i use the same SSD with OS?

Hi guys, i need some help and advise so that i wont screw my shit up :bounce:

My current setup MOBO Gigabyte B250m HD3 with CPU i5-7500 running on windows 10 pro

I'm planning to upgrade my MOBO to Gigabyte Z370 HD3 1151 board with a i7-8700 CPU

If i were to upgrade my MOBO and CPU, will i still be able to use my OS which is installed in my current SSD or do i have to do a fresh installation of OS again? I dont wish to lose all my documents :( Please advise, much help needed! Thanks

yes you can do it.

Back everything up that is of importance.

make sure you have your licence key handy as you may need to reactivate your windows.

You will probably have a few reboots to get your drivers up top date.
