So, recently I was looking into upgrading My CPU, from old threads I found online, it’s only possible to upgrade it to A10 3500 2.5GH with FS1 socket.
Technology is evolving and we are 2018, I haven’t found anything new online about this issue, I guess everyone now days just want to buy something new, but I’m not in that position right now, so upgrading my CPU would be a great step. I added to my current laptop another RAM and replaced my SSD with Elitebook hard drive that had windows 10 pro on it. It’s working great and fast for simple things, but lot of apps isn’t working and performing as they supposed to and plus I would love to play some games with no lags etc.. Can you please help me and suggest for me a solution that would solve CPU problems

what you can do is look for newer laptop mb that may fit your case. a lot of times vendors like hp will use one case and have more then one model of system boards to fit into it. other then that your better off saving up some cash for black friday/cber monday sales. or look at dell laptop with payment you can afford.

Well, the A4 wasn't a great chip when it was released. Even something like an A8 or an A10 would be a good improvement for you, but as far as performance vs even the lowest end Pentium laptop you can get today, an old A10 isn't even going to compare. Even the integrated Intel 600 series graphics should be better than the older AMD HD graphics.

So, I know it isn't what you want to hear, but replacing the laptop would be the best. Since you don't seem to be able to, try and put an A8 or an A10 in it to keep it going a little longer. A quad core with a higher clock speed will help a ton for the kinds of things you are looking at doing.

Even the bottom of the barrel laptops nowadays will match/ beat the best cpu for your hp. The main problem I see here is power and heat since this laptop does not originally come with anything higher than an a6. I would really just save up for something new since it's really old already. You can also just get a used 4th gen i5 laptop for dirtcheap off of ebay usually and that will just blow it away.

Thank you guys for your answers, and sorry I meant to say A8 3500 or 3520m CPU models not A10!
Best way would be getting a brand new laptop, but for the moment at least not anytime soon I really can’t afford it, unless if I can buy something better of what I currently have with the budget of $150
I would like to put an A10 or something better, I found some posts that says anything with 2.5 FS1 Socket would work, but would the A10 work? Or I need a new mother board.
I am willing to switch my AMD to intel as long as the MB fits with model of notebook I currently have.
I think I am going to get a new MD and see which new CPU models would best fit for HP pavilion G6 1b60us..

Now I am only little confused about which mother board that would fit my laptop.

And if I end getting a new CPU, Would I need a new cpu cooler.
