Hey everyone I just made a new build and I am trying to figure out if this is the best route to go. I am building a Mini ITX system with a 1080 and a 6 core Intel processor. My needs are going to be quite a bit of gaming when i have time mostly at night but more on the productivity side of things video edition and rendering, multiple windows open etc (Still gotta get a budget ultra-wide)

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel - Core i5-8600K 3.6GHz 6-Core Processor ($238.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master - Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($19.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Gigabyte - Z370N WIFI Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard ($153.66 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($190.88 @ OutletPC)
Storage: ADATA - XPG 512GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($124.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Zotac - GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Mini Video Card ($498.99 @ Amazon)
Case: NZXT - H200i (White/Black) Mini ITX Tower Case ($112.71 @ B&H)
Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($79.89 @ OutletPC)
Total: $1420.10

I chose the Zotac because its only like 60-70 dollars more than a 1070 so I could save about 70 bucks but I don't see it being worth downgrading.

The case has...

Fan Support Front: 2 x 120/2 x 140mm
Top: 1 x 120mm (1 Aer F120 Case Version included)
Rear: 1 x 120mm (1 Aer F120 Case Version included)

The board has...

1 x Chassis Fan Connector (4-pin)
- 1 x Chassis Optional/Water Pump Fan Connector (4-pin)

So basically, you have two connectors on the board to connect four fans on the case.
You will need two "Y Splitter" like this... https://www.amazon.com/LEDdess-Splitter-Computer-Sleeved-Braided/dp/B077W1SG19
Ryzen should be better for your workload. It games good and beats Intel in productivity...

Issue I see is with your CPU and Cooler if you plan on doing any decent overcook I see potential thermal issues especially in a ITX form case. Either step up your cooler tot he biggest that will fit or get a normal i5 8400 or even 8700 (non k).

Also you may want to look at a Cryorig H7, its similar i size and performance to the 212 but I think made better and looks better.

Doing some research now into AMD, honestly I know they've gotten so much better since before but I haven't really given them much thought but im looking at em now

Yup. It is pretty good in its current outing. Competes with Intel on the same level in gaming and outshines it in productivity. You can check out some benchmarks and reviews on youtube, before deciding. Incase you are still bent towards Intel, then you can go with the build below...

I took the build you made for me here and tweaked it to my black and white color scheme that I am trying to build, lemme know what ya think... Also this board doesn't have a ton of fan connectors do I have to buy some sort of hub? I know it has a hub in the back of this case I may need to open another thread about it specifically... not to savvy on it :p

The case has something in the back of it like a smart hub? this is what it says on the site about it...
(This premium mini-ITX case features a unique CAM-powered Smart Device that digitally drives RGB lighting and fan performance. You can effortlessly control RGB lighting and fans.)

"Smart Device 3 x Fan channels with Max 10W per channel output*
1 x RGB LED port support up to 4 x HUE+ LED strips or 5 x Aer RGB fans
Built-in noise detection module
*Note: If a splitter is used, fan control is regulated depending on the fan connected to the 4-pin port. Do not use low-noise adapters."

Makes me think I dont need a splitter?? then again I am planning on getting a White LED fan for the Exhaust vent but that's really it im not all about that RGB life just want a clean look to it.
