hello. i just moved into a new apartment and it came with cable and internet included on my monthly bill. now... he provided me with a wireless router to use. i have already tried accessing the default gateway, but the default login information has been changed,

the router is plugged in from the wall and the wire is going to the WAN port to provide internet. however that might not mean that my data isn't being intercepted somewhere further up the line, but i don't know anything about that sort of thing.

ANYHOW... basically i am just trying to figure out how safe i am with billing information and the like... you know, the stuff you don't want people privy to.

is it possible that i might be compromised due to using this provided router? anyone?

Solution
If you see HTTPS it's encrypted. So even if he was getting your packets they would be unreadable. If you're very concerned using a paid VPN would encrypt all your traffic leaving.
