Thank you Dorito9000 and Ztdutxjgxgtu - I checked some comparision sites and they are giving an upper hand to intel, are those benchmarks based on gaming performances?

Intel is generally better in gaming performance, whereas AMD is generally better in workstation situations such as what you are interested in.

Thanks for the clarification.

Depends what sites and what the focus of the benchmark is. In gaming intel is better but amd is better for productivity. In photoshop and coreldraw both will perform basically the same.

In general,
If your programs can not do good on multithreading, Intel is the better pick. <-- most games are to be put in this cathegory
If your programs can do good on multithreading, AMD Ryzen is the better pick

If your rendering/editing work is not big and/or complex, there is no big difference between AMD Ryzen and Intel CoffeeLake.
If you game on 60Hz (60FPS goal), there is no big difference between AMD Ryzen and Intel CoffeeLake on most games.
