Compatible gpus and cpus for my motherboard

So the motherboard in this pc is an acer aspire tc-601 and would like to know the compatible gpus and cpus that i can put for an upgrade to make it suitable for gaming.

This was formerly my parents' pc so the pre-built gpu is an intel hd and the cpu is an intel pentium.

This website -- https://www.acer.com/ac/en/KH/content/model/DT.SRQST.046 Says you have an H81 motherboard chipset. The Intel ARK page -- https://ark.intel.com/products/75016/Intel-H81-Chipset says that you can use the 4xxx series CPUs with that motherboard. An i5-4690 CPU would be a good choice. If the PC still has just 4GB RAM, then a RAM upgrade would be helpful. GPUs are going to be limited by the power supply. A GT930 would probably be about the limits.

So the gt930 would be the max gpu for this motherboard? Is it not compatible for something like atleast a 1050ti or 1060?

You don't have enough power supply for a 1050ti or 1060. A 1030 maybe, but you lose the the VGA port. With a wimpy PC like that you might need the VGA port also.

That PC used, is worth about $50. Don't put much money into it. Save your $$$ for a good gaming PC.
