Ethernet vs wifi

I have two laptops one on Ethernet other wireless. How do I get the Ethernet laptop to be wireless so I can move around

I have not seen a laptop made in a long time that does not have a wifi card in it. Are you sure it does not already have wifi.

You can user a USB based wifi nic card to get wireless on the other laptop. It may also support a internal wifi card....but most come with that card installed.

I am sure it has a WiFi and I am computer illiterate the issue is that I can’t get the internet unless it’s hooked up to the Ethernet cable to my router. I want to get away from the cable so I can move around with my computer. Thanks for answering
